Google Pixel 10a: The Upcoming Mid-Range Powerhouse from Google in 2025

Google Pixel 10a smartphone with OLED display, Tensor G4 chip, and dual camera setup

The Google Pixel 10a is expected to be the next big addition to Google’s popular “A-series” smartphones, which combine flagship-level camera performance and clean software at an affordable price. While Google has already unveiled the premium Pixel 10, leaks and rumours surrounding the Pixel 10a suggest that the company is preparing another exciting mid-range device that could redefine value in the smartphone market once again.

Google Pixel 10a Design & Display

According to early renders and leaks, the Pixel 10a will feature a compact 6.2-inch OLED display with slim bezels and a punch-hole front camera. The design follows the signature Pixel look, with a matte rear finish and the iconic horizontal camera bar. The display is expected to offer a 120 Hz refresh rate and Full HD+ resolution, which provides smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals ideal for gaming and media consumption. The device is said to measure approximately 153.9 × 72.9 × 9 mm, making it comfortable to hold while maintaining a premium feel. Google may also introduce IP67 or IP68 water resistance to give it extra durability.

Pixel 10a Proformance & Hardware

The Pixel 10a is rumoured to be powered by Google’s Tensor G4 processor — the same chip used in the previous Pixel 9 series — offering excellent AI and machine-learning capabilities. It is likely to come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage. While it might not match the raw power of the flagship Tensor G5 in the Pixel 10, it will still deliver smooth multitasking, efficient power usage, and advanced AI-driven features. The Pixel 10a may also include a large 5,200 mAh battery with 27 W fast charging support, ensuring all-day endurance even with heavy use. As always, Google’s software optimization in Android 15 will play a big role in improving efficiency and performance.

Google Pixel 10a Camera and Photography

Camera performance has always been the hallmark of the Pixel series, and the Pixel 10a is expected to continue that legacy. It may sport a dual-camera setup with a 50 MP primary sensor and a 12 MP ultra-wide lens. Users can expect flagship-grade photography powered by Google’s computational photography algorithms, including Night Sight, Real Tone, and advanced HDR processing. The front camera will likely be a 10.8 MP sensor, perfect for selfies and video calls.

Pixel 10a Software and Features

The Pixel 10a will run on Android 15 out of the box with a guaranteed five years of software and security updates. It will include exclusive Google AI features such as Live Translate, Recorder transcription, and on-device Assistant responses — all handled efficiently by the Tensor chip. Google’s focus on privacy will also remain a highlight, with built-in security tools and a dedicated Titan M2 security chip.

Pixel 10a Expected Price

The Google Pixel 10a is expected to launch globally in mid-2025, with a starting price of around US $499 (₹44,000 approx.). It is likely to be available in multiple colour options such as Charcoal Black, Porcelain White, and Sea Blue. With its balanced performance, stunning camera quality, and pure Android experience, the Pixel 10a could easily become one of the best mid-range smartphones of 2025.
